Nursery
At Stanwell Fields C of E Nursery, we provide a happy, safe and stimulating environment that encourages independence through active learning and play.
Our Nursery is housed in a purpose built building separate from our Infant building and has large indoor and outdoor facilities that are fully enclosed.
As our Nursery is maintained we have a fully qualified teacher who plans, teaches and supports children’s development and they are supported by a nursery nurse and a learning support assistant. We have an experienced Early Years Phase Leader who teaches in one of our Reception classes and oversees the quality of provision in Nursery.
Our Nursery has a great deal of space, both inside and out, both of which reflect and promote all areas of learning outlined in the Early Years Foundation Stage. We also have access to further outdoor learning environments, one of which we share with the school's Reception Classes. This allows children who will move up to the Reception classes to have a smoother transition to school.
We believe in nurturing children’s independence and creativity and support them in respecting their own cultures and heritage and those of other people which supports our school rule of ‘Respect’.
We aim to give each child a love of learning through ‘Christian Values’ that will stay with them forever and enable them to satisfy their natural curiosity and help them to make informed choices throughout their lives.
